Terms of Use - Seattle Floating Homes

Purpose – The goal of this Discussion Board is for Dock Officers to share information relevant to dock life with each other. The FHA does not run this board. This is a Closed Group. Only members can see the postings. Dock officers of co-op and condo are welcome to register, and will be approved if they are on the list of Dock Officers maintained by the FHA. Not sure if you are on that list? Email contact@seattlefloatinghomes.org and provide your name, dock name and address, your unit number, and your dock role (president, treasurer, etc.). Topics are moderated. The following list of do’s, don’ts, recommendations and suggestions is designed to help everyone enjoy this board. By accessing or using The Floating Homes Association (“FHA”) Dock Officers Discussion Board (“Website”, “Service”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

Conduct – You agree to use the Service in accordance with all applicable local, state, and national laws and regulations. If you are abusive, your posts will be deleted and you can be removed from the group. As impersonal as this board might seem, your actions affect real people with real feelings.

You are encouraged to:

Post about your dock information, issues, and questions. We all want to pool knowledge that is helpful to other dock officers.
Update regularly and be consistent with the topic in the content of your postings.
Post comments in other people’s postings, it’s a great way to build the shared knowledge.
Treat other people as you would in real life. Always be respectful with your posts and considerate of people’s feelings.

Post or transmit any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually explicit, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or in violation of any law.
