Emergency Preparation
Seattle Prepares offers emergency prep classes (you can find out when they are scheduled on their website). Ann Forrest (SeattlePrepares@gmail.com) has very kindly said we can share the handouts from a recent course we attended. It’s not as good as attending the actual classes, but there is a wealth of information in the handouts and slides.
Bad Weather Preparation
See our floating home preparation list. Sign up for AlertSeattle, the city’s emergency alert system that delivers texts, emails, and voice calls about power outages, missed garbage pickups, and water service issues. In the event that the city needs to come out and fix something (fallen tree, pot holes in the road) use the city’s Find it, Fix it app to report the problem.
